The bookplate of Sir Rupert Hart-Davis. He collected tens of thousands of books, manuscripts and pictures over a lifetime, filling the shelves and tabletops in almost every room of his spacious Old Rectory, Marske-in-Swaledale, Richmond, Yorkshire. To me Rupert was the ultimate man of letters and man of the world, a friend, mentor, and the kind of collector who inspired this pillar of George Moore Interactive.
