The bookplate of Sir Rupert Hart-Davis (1907–1999). He collected thousands of books, manuscripts, and pictures during his career as a publisher and man of letters. They filled the shelves and tabletops in almost every room of his spacious home in Yorkshire. Now the Rupert Hart-Davis Collection is at the University of Tulsa McFarlin Library.
Welcome to Collections. Our purpose is to showcase the tangible literary legacy of George Moore and facilitate contact with the owners of primary source materials that scholars wish to examine.
The owners of manuscript letters transcribed and published elsewhere on GMi are represented here, as are the owners of unique printed editions and archival materials vital to the study of George Moore, even when those materials do not include his own writing.
Please email GMi if you know about the owners of unique manuscripts, publications, and images who are not already represented in Collections.
