Who is Sheila Kaye-Smith?

The English novelist Sheila Kaye-Smith (1887-1956) set of her many of her stories in George Moore’s beloved Sussex; and wrote appreciatively about Moore and Thomas Hardy as pillars of modern British fiction. I am researching Moore’s fondness for her, which is not described by his biographers.
