Hôtel de la Ville de Lyon & de Londres, Fontainebleau

←Menu of Places

The Hôtel de Londres in Fontainebleau today, presumably the same hotel as the Hôtel de la Ville de Lyon & de Londres (see Hôtel de Londres)

Situated beside the Palace of Fontainebleau, George Moore wrote from here in the summer of 1898. Marcel Proust had stayed two years earlier while writing parts of À la recherche du temps perdu.

Undated picture of the Hôtel de l’Europe so-called circa 1860-1900 (see Hôtel de Londres)
