Writing from the Derwenwater Hotel in the Lake District in the summer of 1895, George Moore excitedly told Arnold Dolmetsch about progress he was making on a new book (Evelyn Innes) that would “do something towards the reformation of the music in Roman Catholic Churches which is really disgaceful.”
