George Moore wrote from 22 Avenue Montaigne, Paris, in the spring of 1895. Today that is the modern address of a corporate headquarters; I have not found a vintage picture of a 19th century facade.
No. 22 is across the street from the ancient and elegant Plaza Athénée hotel at No. 25 Avenue Montaigne; if No. 22 was a hotel it may have looked similar.
