Aet. 48, to an art and literary critic who was an occasional subject-matter expert and copy editor for George Moore. Years earlier she was a journalist employed by W. T. Stead at the Pall Mall Gazette and Review of Reviews.
George’s article for sale was written by his brother Maurice Moore who served in the British Army during the Second Boer War. Stead was an outspoken opponent of the War. At present he was editor and principal writer of the Review of Reviews.
