Aet. 48, to the American owner of a speakers bureau. George Moore’s synopsis is not extant. The American presidential election of 1900 was partly fought over resistance to British imperialism including in Ireland.

George purportedly asked W. B. Yeats to join his proposed lecture tour. Pond managed the poet’s first American lecture tour in late 1903-early 1904.

With his often-cited aversion to public speaking and seasickness, George never crossed the Atlantic.
