Aet. 47, to the London publisher of The Bending of the Bough. George Moore’s new second act and the book as a whole were printed by the firm of Unwin Brothers, Printers in Pilgrim Street, Ludgate Hill, London, E.C.
“Moods and Memories” was the working title of Memoirs of My Dead Life (1906). The Preface to The Bending of the Bough appeared in the Fortnightly Review (February 1900). No new book of essays would appear until Avowals (1919).
