Aet. 47, to an editor for the London publisher Thomas Fisher Unwin who later became George Moore’s publisher. George’s play The Bending of the Bough was published by Unwin on 21 February 1900; it was staged by the Irish Literary Theatre at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin, 20 February 1900.
