Aet. 43, to Ellen Adèle Hockley (1861-1934) who had lived with her family at the Bridger property Little Buckingham near Shoreham-by-Sea. She wrote fiction under the pseudonym Olivia Roy. Purportedly married to a man named Day, she later married Walter Bernard Hamilton (1863–1930), a writer and non‑practicing barrister. Their son was Patrick Hamilton, a novelist and playwright.
