Emanuel Christian “E. C.” Hedmondt, aka Charles Hedmont (b. 1857) was a tenor with the Carl Rosa Opera Company, a major touring company in Britain. In 1895 he sang Siegmund in the first English-language production of Wagner’s Die Walküre at Covent Garden. George Moore reviewed the opera in “The Joy of London,” in the Speaker (26 October 1895).
