Aet. 42, to a musician and instrument maker. George Moore’s new project was the duology Evelyn Innes (1898) and Sister Teresa (1901).
According to William Rothenstein in Men and Memories I (1931), Arnold Dolmetsch met George Moore through Herbert Horne, who lived at 4 King’s Bench Walk.
George modeled the father of Evelyn Innes after Dolmetsch. Both lived in a house called Dowlands in Dulwich. Evelyn was modeled after Dolmetsch’s daughter Hélène. Both played the viola da gamba and accompanied their fathers in concerts.
