Aet. 38, to his mother. Joseph Apply, the 71 year old head servant at Moore Hall, died there of respiratory illness on 2 December 1890. He was survived by a wife and son, the latter also a servant at Moore Hall. The objectionable behavior of Augustus Moore most notably included libel and financial fraud committed in the Hawk, and verbal abuse of the Independent Theatre Society that George Moore was helping to establish.
