Aet. 38, to his mother. After George Henry Moore’s untimely death in 1870, the estate of Moore Hall was managed, not by his widow, but by her brother Joseph Blake of Ballinafad. No copy of G.H. Moore’s will survives at the Four Courts in Dublin. The family’s copy was scorched when Moore Hall burned in 1922; it is now preserved at the National Library of Ireland, a rolled crust of paper that would disintegrate if handled.
