Aet. 38, to Katherine Bradley and Edith Cooper who wrote together under the pseudonym Michael Field and fondly remembered George Moore in their journals Works and Days (1933).  George’s aestheticizing foreshadowed his efforts to influence William Butler Yeats ten years hence. Michael Field’s only prose play, A Question of Memory, was staged by the Independent Theatre Society at the Opera Comique (27 October 1893).
