Aet. 37, to a Scottish drama critic. George Moore continued a public dispute with Robert Buchanan in “Bye-Bye, Buchanan!” (Hawk, 19 November 1889). That article also described Beeerbohm Tree’s feedback on a scenario that later became The Strike at Arlingford (1893). Arthur Wing Pinero came in for qualified praise in George’s “Our Dramatists and Their Literature.” In “My Article and My Critics” (Hawk, 12 November 1889), George Moore replied to critics of his dramatic criticism.
