Aet. 36, to a French artist. A French translation of George Moore’s serial Confessions in Dujardin’s Revue indépendante (March-August 1888) was revised for book publication by Savine as Confessions d’un Jeune Anglais (1889). The second revised English edition of Confessions of a Young Man (April 1889) would be dedicated to Blanche. Blanche contributed cover art for the first English edition (February 1888); it was reused in the second English edition. The drawing acknowledged in this letter is uncertain; the French translation did not have cover art or a frontispiece.
