Aet. 36, to a French artist. Blanche’s home studio, the Chalet du Bas Fort Blanc, was near the Citadel overlooking the sea at Dieppe. The studio was decorated by Renoir with scenes from Wagner’s Tannhäuser, and the home was hung with paintings by Impressionists.
