Aet. 36, to an American expatriate poet in France. Vielé-Griffin’s translation of Swinburne’s Laus Veneris appeared in Revue indépendante (May 1888). He is not known to have translated anything by George Moore, but in 1895 he was involved in James Whistler’s challenge of George to a duel.
