Aet. 36, to a French man of letters. Dujardin’s prose poem “A la gloire d’Antonia” was first published in Gustave Kahn’s La Vogue (9 August 1886) and reissued as a Revue indépendante Supplement (August 1887). It was the prelude to a dramatic trilogy entitled La Legende d’Antonia, published in parts in 1891-1893 and collected in 1899. George Moore’s Confessions was serialized (in a poor translation) in Revue indépendante.
