Aet. 35, to Herbert Wigram (1842-1914), a wealthy retiree from the Madras Civil Service, who was a partner of publisher William Swan Sonnenschein. Pauline Schletter (pseudonym Paul Sylvester) and Henry Harland translated Matilde Serao’s novel Fantasia (1883); their translation would be published by William Heinemann in 1890 with an introduction by Edmund Gosse. A review of Terre d’Irlande entitled “An Irishman on Ireland” appeared in the Lady’s Pictorial (4 April 1887).
