George Moore’s Terre D’Irlande was published in Paris in March 1887. His letter concerning Rider Haggard and Robert Louis Stevenson appeared in the Court and Society Review (30 March 1887). His “Two Men, A Railway Story” would appear in the Court and Society Review (20 April 1887). His Confessions of a Young Man would be serialized in Time (London, July-November 1887); Time was edited by Edmund Downey and Edmund Gosse, both of whom played important roles in George’s career.
