Aet. 34, to a girlfriend in Shoreham-by-Sea, Sussex. Dulcie (b. 1859) was a sister of Colvill Bridger, whom George Moore met in the late 1860s or early 1870s in London. Colvill’s new house was Freshcombe Lodge, a few miles from the Bridger homes near Shoreham-by-Sea: Buckingham House, Little Buckingham, and Adur Lodge.
