Aet. 33, to a French artist. George Moore saw Blanche’s painting at the Society of British Artists, an association led by the American James Whistler. Blanche had studied painting under Whistler around 1882. A Drama in Muslin was serialized in the Court and Society Review (14 January – 1 July 1886). Blanche’s drawing In the Convent Garden became the frontispiece of the first edition in 1886 but is present only in some copies. The now obscure H. Arthur Kennedy (1855-1905) was a playwright in the 1890s.
