George, 3rd Duke de Stacpoole (1829–1896) was an expatriot Irish landlord living in France with a papal dukedom. He had scientific and literary interests including a stake in the Hawk newspaper edited by Augustus Moore. He was married to Pauline MacEvoy.
Anna Murphy was George’s maternal aunt.
Nina Moore Kilkelly raised six children.
On 3 January 1885 Augustus married Adelaide Peirson, called Addie Gray, a chorus girl and member of Miss Lila Clay’s Lady Orchestra.
