1879-spring to Mary Blake Moore

Aet. 27, to his mother. This letter admits George Moore’s designs on the second wife of Ranulphe Marie Eustache, Marquis d’Osmond. It casts doubt on his cousin Arthur O’Conor who had been a fellow pupil (and dropout) at Oscott College ten years earlier; later Arthur became a colleague of Maurice Moore in the Connaught Rangers. It shrugs off an overture from the Rev. John Burke, C.M., a Professor of Moral Theology at the Irish College in Paris. And closes with greetings to his sister Nina.
