Aet. 24, to his mother. This letter mentions English painters Alfred W. Cooper and Charles Lutyens whom George trained under in London. His friend and fellow art student was Louis Welden Hawkins. The French painters he tried to copy were conventional Salon exhibitors, none of whom was avant-garde. The letter also mentioned his siblings Nina, Augustus and Maurice Moore, his Aunt Anna Blake Murphy, and his cousin Jim Browne.
