Aet. 17, to a servant at Moore Hall. The letter mentions William Day who
in 1860 trained George Henry Moore’s Croagh Patrick; the horse won a fortune the following year at Goodwood.

The prestigious Victoria Club was described by William Tinsley in his Recollections (1900), long after he published George’s first novel.
