Aet. 46, to a woman of letters. Edward Martyn’s The Heather Field and Maeve was published in January 1899. Twelve copies of a trial revised edition of George Moore’s Evelyn Innes were fabricated at the end of October 1898 by pasting new printed material into the second edition of August 1898; the next known revision was published in 1901.
