Dear Sir,

The subscription of the Independent Theatre Society is 2£ 10/. We are going to give Thérèse Raquin with a splendid cast on the 9th of October. We shall give another performance [of] Le Baiser and two other interesting plays sometime before Christmas.

If subscriptions come in, as we have every reason to believe they will, we hope to give about ten performances a year, and your subscription of 2£ 10/ will entitle you to witness five performances. For fifteen hundred a year we could give ten extraordinary performances yearly.

If you are interested in theatrical matter, I should say if you are interested in dramatic literature, I would advise you to join the Society and take pot luck. The person to apply to is J.T. Grein, 84 Warwick Street, Belgrave Road.

Very truly yours

George Moore
