Dear Fisher Unwin
I see no reason for delaying the settlement of this matter. The sale of the remaining stock of Evelyn Innes will make no difference whatever. The book will have to be reset. Sister Teresa is nearly finished. Evelyn Innes is not yet begun and I shall not begin it until this matter is decided.
I have Grania to write and there is a book called Moods and Memories (I have spoken to you about this book) to finish. I have made you a just and liberal offer; I have even offered to submit this offer to arbitration.
As soon as you have made up your mind to accept this offer I will return to the work. So far as I can see the only matter in dispute is a claim, the legality of which I have grave doubts, the injustice of which I have none, and which nothing on earth will ever induce me to concede.
Very truly yours
George Moore
Please let me know what you decide.
