1894-03-11 to Angelena Frances Milman

Autograph letter signed, University of Kansas, 154 words

[Edited for paragraph breaks, capitalization, spelling and punctuation.]

Sunday [11 March 1894]

Nevill told me that he was going to see you this afternoon so I thought I would pay my visit in the north of London — Stoke Newington, if you please. If I had not gone today I could not have gone at all and it would have been a rudeness not to have gone.

I am glad you liked my article on Steer’s pictures. I shall not tell you that it is the worst I ever wrote: I have no opinion one way or the other. I shall however always like the article because you liked it.

But you will tell me what you think of the preface, will you not? I should prefer to do it again than that you should not be satisfied.

Yours always

George Moore
