Dear Sir

Some months ago — many months ago — I received a communication from you to the effect that you would like to have articles from me on dramatic subjects and that you would pay magazine price, £5 [for] an article not exceeding 2500 words.

I did not send anything at the time because I was busy with many other things, but I will send you an article, if you care to have it, on Mr. Beerbohm Tree’s Monday Nights — the first will take place next month. Beau Austin by Robert Louis Stevenson and W. Henley is the play that will be produced.

Should you care for the article you might send me a cablegram — The word yes is all that is needed. The telegraphic address is 48 Temple.
