My dear Sir
I write to thank you for your very handsome notice of my book Terre d'lrlande. I thought the subject would interest your readers to the extent of half a dozen lines but I did not expect anything like so much space or so carefully written a review. I am glad you differed with me on this point. I think with you that "The Patriot” is the best chapter in the book and I must congratulate you on the dexterous way you told the story of Mr Daly’s amours.
Thank you again. I remain
Yours very truly
George Moore.
