Dear Fisher Unwin

I am just off to Ireland to make a speech. When I return I’ll put my accounts into my solicitor’s hands and he will employ an accountant to examine your books.

This is how I always treat my estate accounts and my estate agent is my oldest and best friend. I say this so that you may not take offence though I don’t know why I should think you would for of course I must be businesslike.

Always yours

George Moore
