My dear Miss Holmes

My sincere congratulations. I have just written to Grey, the editor of the Freeman’s Journal — the great Irish paper — asking him if I may send him a column about you, the Irish symphony and the grand opera you are writing — the Irish opera you spoke to me about. If he says he will take the article, and I have no doubt that he will — I will write to you for an outline of the Irish opera, a few facts concerning your musical career, and another notice of the Irish symphony. I hope you will send me what I shall probably write for the day after tomorrow at once.

Yours very truly

George Moore
