My dear Aunt

I have just returned from the country and the first thing I lay hands on is your kind invitation to dinner. I am sorry I cannot dine with you tonight. I am going to Manchester on Wednesday or Thursday and have to get some work done before I go. I shall look forward to seeing you when I return.

Yours always

George Moore
