Dear Fisher Unwin

I am here for the purpose of writing Sister Teresa. I entertain hopes of being able to write that book. When it is written I’ll bring it to you. I cannot bring it before.

When it is finished a new edition of Evelyn Innes will have to be published. The emendations for which I paid 25£ are of no value. The necessary change is the entire elimination of the character of Ulick Dean. This will reduce the book by about a third, so the cost of setting up afresh will be diminished. I would not be surprised if I reduced the book by nearly one half.

I wish you would have two copies of the book cut up and the sheets pasted in the corners of large sheets of paper. This is how I can best arrive at the text I have in view. But I shall not attempt to remodel the text till I have finished Sister Teresa. Please send the sheets here.

Truly yours

George Moore

PS Take the second edition.
