Thursday [autumn 1896]

My dear Rothenstein

I want to see you and I want to speak to you about a portrait. You propose dining together, an excellent idea, so come to 92 Victoria Street tomorrow, Friday, half past seven, and do not be late, delay spoils the dinner. I beg you to be punctual. Send me a wire tomorrow morning saying you are coming.

Always yours

George Moore
