Contents
“La Réponse de Georges Moore en forme de sonnet à son ami Edouard Dujardin (I’auteur de ‘La Source de Fleuve Chretien’) qui I’avait invité à Fontainebleau pour manger de I’alose” is slightly revised from original publication in the Fortnightly Review, September 1920; “Preface” previously unpublished; an alternative passage (“These pages to replace page 25, vol. ii”) is slightly revised from its earlier publication as an insert in volume two of the first American edition of Héloïse and Abélard (A40-b); and the “Errata” includes corrections and additions to volume two, chiefly to correct the boy Astrolabe’s speech from an eleven-year-old to a nine-year-old.
Bibliographical Comment
“La Reponse… de I’alose” is reprinted in Letters.... to Ed. Dujardin (A54). The alternative passage along with the additions and corrections of the “Errata” are included in the Carra and subsequent editions of Héloïse and Abélard (A40-2b et seq.).
