1890-11-13 to Clara Lanza

Autograph letter signed, New York University, 94 words

[Edited for paragraph breaks, capitalization, spelling and punctuation.]

[Thursday] November 13 [1890]

My dear Clara Lanza

Am I going to hear from you ever again? Your silence is growing abnormally long — I hope you are not ill. I did not think of this possibility until I began this letter. Now it seems to me to be only too likely. I cannot chatter about literature with the thought on my mind. Pray write if you are not ill.

Very truly yours

George Moore.
