Friday [28 July 1899]
My dear Edward,
I have engaged rooms and I begged and prayed exhorted Schults [illegible] to get comfortable rooms for us. And now I do beg and pray and exhort you to be here on the first of August as I shall certainly require four days for the journey. I cannot travel to Bayreuth [in] this hot weather in two days as seemingly you wish to do. I want to stop at Boppart and other places — I beseech you to fall in with my wishes on this point. I cannot travel all day. If the weather is like this it would be better to travel at night. But you dont like that. However let us start on the first and get to Bayreuth by easy stages.
Always yours
George Moore
