8 Kings Bench Walk, Temple

Friday night [6 April 894]

My dear Gosse

I was very much touched by the kindness of your letter. I think that I can appreciate kindness; I shall not forget yours.

I read your article on Heredia with much interest. You said just the right things about him and you quoted his best poems.

I do not know if I shall be able to but I hope to come to see you on Sunday; if I do I will bring the book I spoke to you about with me. We will read the verses together and if you agree with me perhaps you may be tempted to write about him.

Thanking you again I remain

Yours always

George Moore
