Autograph letter signed, New York Public Library, xx words
[Edited for paragraph breaks, capitalization, spelling and punctuation.]
Care of Mrs. Feist, Southwick Green, near Brighton, Sussex.
[July 1886]
Mon cher Duret,
Write and tell me, my dear friend, and tell me how the Drama in Muslin strikes you. [You] know I value your opinion more than anybody else's. Indeed one word from you is worth more than yards of talk from anyone else.
I wish I were down in the South of France with you: we must pass a summer together. I have never been to Italy. I wish we could go there together.
Goodbye my dear friend and believe me
Yours most sincerely
George Moore
