[March-April 1881]
Dear Mr Rossetti
Lo I come to the testating worry. You kindly said you would if I found a publisher [and] I have. Mark off the poems in my book to come out.
Now if this is too much bother, if it be bother at all, pray don't do it.
All that is bad — that is to say a little worse than the rest or offensively immoral — will you strike out if you don’t mind?
I need not say that this is strictly a private [matter] and I give you my honour that I will not mention your name in connection with the p[oems].
With kind regards to Mrs Rossetti. I remain
Yours very truly
George Moore
PS I send you a book to mark.
